Remembering - - Gratitude and Family

My cousin sent me this poem because so many people wished him a happy birthday. I told him to continue to write since they are gifts from God. The people who read it will remember what you say and pay it forward. Once read the reader has an obligation to create the memory and impression on their brain. Only good comes from good!

Here's his "Labor of Love"

It's crazy thinking of the past
Various events and memories that last
Reminiscing of the times gone by
A kid growing up in beautiful Hawaii
Easier times when all I had to do... See More
Was get good grades and stay in school
I remember back when I had so much time
I filled various sketch books with drawings and designs
But that's just a snapshot of a distant memory
Times have changed much with added responsibility
Reminiscing of the times gone by
I've been to many places after leaving Hawaii
Aside from the travels I have met a few of you
Relatives, old friends, and many new ones too
Although it feels like I'm busy all the time
I decided to write thoughts with a touch of rhyme
Through all of the years, I could look back and smile
That we shared in a memory, even just a short while
Just wanted to write something creative to say
I appreciate you greeting me on my happy birthday
Much love, your brother, your cousin, your friend-Just me
